“Sopra” software project

In this project, which spanned a whole semester, an extensive software project had to be planned and implemented in teams of three to six students.

The project consisted of two parts: First, a smaller, then a larger system.

Part 1: Weekly Timetable

As preparation for the big challenge of the Sopra and as a little obstacle at the beginning each team had to create a digital timetable application. This application should be able to manage all appointments of a week, display them in a table, save and print them. All specifications were already provided, so it only had to be implemented in Delphi or Java, using a Database or an XML file to store the settings.

The result of the work of our team was a fully functional and unbelievably user-friendly timetable, that has been implemented in Java using XML files to store the data. And because I’m such a nice person, you can download it right here! Amazing, isn’t it? I know.

To test it, simply download and execute the JAR file. For this you need the Java Runtime Environment 5 or higher.

Part 2: Daisy – das Dekanatsinformationssystem

Als Hauptaufgabe des Sopras sollte ein Dekanatsinformationssystem (kurz Daisy genannt) erstellt werden, das alle möglichen Daten über die Fakultät aufnehmen, verwalten, aufbereiten und auswerten können sollte. Dabei sollte es noch komplett anpassbar und variabel sein. Keine leichte Aufgabe also...

Unser geniales Team wahlessen3 entwickelte und tüftelte, und nach der Zusammenlegung mit dem fast genauso genialen Team Team (nein, das ist kein Schreibfehler) zum noch genialeren Team teamessen3 entstand das perfekte Programm: te3 Daisy, das Dekanatsinformationssystem von teamessen3.

Das Programm habe ich ja nicht allein entwickelt, die Einrichtung ist nicht ganz einfach und überhaupt ist es auch viel zu speziell, um hier angeboten zu werden, aber wer an den paar verschwommenen Screenshots Geschmack gefunden hat und Interesse hat, das Programm in seiner eigenen Fakultät zu verwenden (hey, wer hat denn bitte keine eigene Fakultät?), kann sich natürlich gerne bei mir melden, dann schaue ich, was ich machen kann...
